Since the establishment of the Comintern, as the leader of the international communist movement, the attitude of the Soviet (Russia) communist to the Communist International organizes-the Comintern and the Cominform was changing. And these changes had reflected the Soviet leader's deep consideration in foreign policy. In the need of cooperation with the west powers at the post-war period, the Soviet leaders made the decision on the dissolution of the Comintern at the end of World Warâ…¡. After the war, as the strategy of cooperation with the west powers, which the Soviet Union had pursued, faced enormous challenges, the Soviet leaders again established the Cominform, which was the center of the unified international communist movement with coordination functions. Although the members of Cominform were limited to the Communist Party of individual countries in Europe, they all occupied an important position in the Soviet Union's security strategy after World Warâ…¡. The Cominform was actively used by the Soviet leaders for their own foreign policy, and they put great efforts in expanding its functions and establishing the East cominform. However, for various reasons, especially because of new changes in the international situation, the Soviet leaders eventually abandoned the attempt. At the middle of the 1950s, when Soviet policies toward Europe faced setbacks, and the confrontation intensified between the two camps, the Soviet leaders again attempted to strengthen the center of international communist movement, creating four regional Communist International organizes to replace the cominfonn, and they had put a major effort. But the Soviet leaders did not reach their goals in the end.Despite the existence of the Cominfonn is not long and in fact it had fallen into decline after its third meeting. However, the Coinform existed in the period when the Soviet Union's foreign policy changed dramatically and the Cold War broke out. The establishment of the Cominform and the proposal of the two camps theory from the Soviet leaders laid the foundation for the formation of the socialist camp. The internal movement of the Cominform speeded up the foundation of the Soviet bloc and laid the foundation for military confrontation in Europe. The massive peace movement sponsored by the cominform deeply impacted the psychological of many people all over the word. The dissolution of the Cominform have had a profound impact on the development of relations between the Soviet communist and Communist of Eastern Europe countries, and the changes of the relationship within the socialist camp. In short, the Cominform played an important role in the origin and development of the Cold War.The research about the Cominform has been a hot issue of concern for the international scholars. However, due to the limited archival material, it is very limited about the research on the Cominform for a long time, and even has fallen into some errors. Since the end of the Cold War, Along With the declassification of related archival material, especially the Russian archives material, scholars could launch a further study on the cominform, and there have been a number of research results on this issue. For example, the establishment of the Cominform, the attempts of the Soviet leaders to expand the cominform in 1950-1951, the second and the third meeting of the cominform, these new research results reveal the mystery of the Cominform, and gradually clarifies the misconceptions on the cominform for many people. However, generally speaking, there is still a lack of systematic research on the entire history of the cominform in these studies, moreover, some very important problems, such as the peace movement and the cominform, the attempts of Soviet leaders to establish the East cominform, as well as the dissolution of the Cominform and other issues have not yet appeared. This disertation is on the basis of the latest declassified material and the related research results of this field, trying to make up for some gaps in the research field of cominform, and trying to investigate the changes of soviet foreign policy during this period and the origin and development of the Cold War through a systematic research on the entire history of the cominform. And some related problems such as the international communist movement and the relations of the Communist Party between Soviet and other countries are also discussed in this paper.
