The Temples' Cultural Studies From The Perspective Of Regional Society In Modern Liaoning

Temple culture involves a large range, relates to architecture, religious beliefs, customs, economic and other various cultural content, which is not only the important component of various and profound Chinese traditional culture , reflects the regional cultural features, but also conducives to grasp its cultural characteristics. Modern is not only the history period of connecting link between the preceding and the following, but also the important turning point. Thus, it is beneficial to recognize the period of social transformation function and its significance that all-around observes evolution of modern temples and cultural. Liaoning as a important region of connects North China Plain and the Northeast China plain area, has an important location significance. In this paper , the modern Liaoning regional social culture of temples were investigated, including the temple's forming, distribution, architectural culture, religious culture, economic culture of temple fair, temple property problem, social living space and so on . The investigation is not only conducive to recognize the regional social cultural differences and particularity, but also can make up the shortage of northeast regional social temple culture research. This paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter explains the background as a temple of culture, focusing on the social profile of modern Liaoning region, including the geographical environment, demographic factors, economic development and social environmental, to present the Liaoning region of modern society from the natural to the general situation .The second chapter analyzes the religious causes of the form of modern temple landscape, mainly institutional religion:firstly, analysis of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism of the introduction and characteristics. Moreover, from the temples of the historical evolution and geographical distribution to start to analyze the form of the modern temple landscape, in order to identify the regularity of conclusions. The third chapter analyzes temples culture of the modern Liaoning, including the selected site of the temple architecture,the space layout of temple building, architecture art, maintenance of the temples monuments of modern Liaoning , and the development and utilization of the modern temple landscape as tour.The fourth chapter focuses on the analysis of the religious culture of temples in the modern Liaoning. First, through the evolution of gods worship for modern Liaoning temple to analyze the characteristics of modern regional social beliefs. Second, from the temples'religious worship ritual of the modern Liaoning to start to analyze the significance of cultural symbols ,and take the pray for rain ritual for example. Finally, the analysis of the folk meaning of temples beliefs in modern Liaoning: life customs, folk festivals, folk arts entertainment.The fifth chapter study the culture of the modern temple economic. Through the analysis of the distribution of modern Liaoning market, there is a conclusion :temple fair plays complementary role to markets, and has its specific advantages. And then further explore the development of the modern Liaoning temple fairs, and clear and carefully organize its preparatory process, and the temple fair of trade including participants, commodity trading, service industries. Summarize the characteristics of business of modern Liaoning temple fair and the economic impact and development limitations of the temple fair of the modern Liaoning.The sixth Chapter analyzes the most serious temple property problems which the modern Liaoning temple faces. First, using historical documents to summary the base conditions of temples in modern Liaoning, including source of the temple property, the the division of the temple property ownership and the mode of operation of temple property. Second, analyze the fuse of temple property problems in modern Liaoning,which is the background and process of temple property up schools, and summarize the performance of Liaoning society of the temple property problem. Again, during the different periods of the early Republic, the Nanjing government and the puppet state of Manchukuo, analyze the official policy and the changing of the temple property problems. Finally, summarize the temple property impact on Liaoning local society. The seventh chaper makes a comprehensive summary of the relationship between the temple and the people living space in modern Liaoning. The temple as the spirit of the people of comfort space, recreation space, public service space, public life space in modern Liaoning is examined to find the relationship with daily life.Make a link between civil society organizations and temples which exist in a wide range of modern Liaoning society,and make overviews of four civil non-governmental organizations ,including folk religion organizations, civil ritual organizations, civil trade organizations,and civil fellow orgnizations . Finally, analyze the remodeling of the temple space which social elite and official make in modern Liaoning society ,and make an objective assessment.
