Modern Chinese Intentionally-creating verb is a more specific category. The semantic components these verbs implied in the framework and their performance at the syntactic level are different from the general verbs. They have their special features. Previous research on the Intentionally-creating verb basically stays at a certain angle or a certain area, not yet having systematic and comprehensive. There are many places worth exploring. This article takes the modern Chinese monosyllabic Intentionally-creating verb as the research object. sets some syntactic-semantic identification scheme, to give a narrow definition of the Intentionally-creating verb. The paper describes their syntactic and semantic features, analyzes the Sentence Type and uses various linguistic theories to give an explanation of some phenomena related to Intentionally-creating verb, compares them to the processing verb, pointing out the difference when constituting the sentence. At the same time researches some synonymous sentence constituted by Intentionally-creating verb, and explains the relevant phenomenon of asymmetries. The paper is divided into seven chapters. Details are as follows:Chapter I IntroductionChapter II Definition and syntactic features of Intentionally-creating verbFirst, reviews the definition of previous research, pointing out the syntactic-semantic identification format we've set to narrowly define Intentionally-creating verb. Further points out the reasons the syntactic-semantic identification format sets. provides an explanation to the relevant semantic components of the syntactic-semantic identification format. Then determines the scope of Intentionally-creating verb of our study on the basis of the work we have done. Then the paper illustrates the syntactic features of Intentionally-creating verb. They can meet the requirements of the two syntax-semantic identification formats at the same time. There is difference between the object of Intentionally-creating verb and the object with the same shape of the typical patient."Cheng shi" object can be followed directly with this kind of verbs. The combination of "Cheng shi" object and the amount of time with the words has certain characteristics.Chapter III The semantic features of Intentionally-creating verbThe summary and description of Lexical semantic features come from several aspects:First, according to the dictionary definition to see the verb's action whether is specific action, and gain a pair of opposite semantics features:[+specific action] and [-specific action];Second, basing on action process to see the manner and summarize three semantic features:[+appears to make from scratch]-,[+to switch from the old properties into new properties],[+to convert from the old state of the new-state];Third, basing on the elements that the framework contains are single or not. sum a pair of opposite characteristics:[+single tool] and [-single tool].According to the difference of Lexical semantic features of Intentionally-creating verb we can re-produce verb classification. For example according to [±single tool] they can be divided into corresponding kinds:"specific tools Intentionally-creating verb " and "multi-tools Intentionally-creating verb." Classification results help the idea "use meaning of vocabulary teaching" advocated by the teaching field come true. The grammatical and semantic characteristics of Intentionally-creating verb are drawn in the two verb-specific syntactic patterns, that "V+zai+NpL+Np "and" Np+zai+NpL+V+zhe". We obtain the following semantic features by transformation method:[+position],[â– attached],[+the Space],[+state continued] and so on.Chapter IV The type of sentence formed by Intentionally-creating verbThis section analyzes the type of sentence formed by Intentionally-creating verb. including:Sentence with Agent as the subjectNpæ–½+Vp+Npæˆ,Npæ–½+Npå‡+Vp+Npæˆ,Npæ–½+Npå‡1+Npå‡2+Vp+NpæˆPredicate sentenceNpæ+Npæ–½+Vp+NpæˆUnmarked passiveNpæˆ+V+A+了Analyzes why " Npæˆ+V+A+了" is sensible, explains the conditions that "NpæˆV+V+A+了" can mean that the subjective expected to achieve and the cause of Npæˆ+V+å¾—+都+A+了" isn't sensible. In this chapter, the author also analyzes the processing verb closely linked to the Intentionally-creating verb. First points out the difference in concept between them. and then analyzes the sentence type that can only be formed by processing verb: V+Npå—,V+Npå·¥,V+Npæ–¹Through such a comparison the features of Intentionally-creating verb can be made more clearly when making sentence.Chapter V Investigation in synonymous sentence that Intentionally-creating verb makesSynonymous sentence formats through sentence transformationDisposes semantic differences of synonymous sentence of"Npæ–½+Vp+Npæˆ"andhow to choose a different sentence according to context. Because they are different in the topic, the focus of meaning, emotional sense and style sense and so there are differences. The existence of these differences they have detennined the expression of their different role, in the specific context selection should be made based on the role of different the expression of sentences.Synonymous sentence formatted because of word orderMainly discusses attribute sentence and adverbial sentence that adjective refers to the object made of Intentionally-creating verb. These two patterns are different in terms of meaning and focus. The expected degree of the adjective reflected in the sentence is also different. Another investigation is synonymous with the formation of the same proposition "le". From the pragmatic point of view of making the same verb form of the proposition the choice of words is:"Ie2" sentences and "lelle2" sentences tend to report things,"le1" sentences tend to narrative and theory things.Chapter VI Some asymmetry performance of Intentionally-creating verb in synonymous sentenceThis section analyzes some asymmetry performance of Intentionally-creating verb in synonymous sentence, including:The asymmetry performance of Intentionally-creating verb in attribute sentence and adverbial sentence that adjective refers to the object. The motivation for the shift of adjective in adverbial sentence is:language subjectivity, time sequence principle, the "empathy" and other factors. The shift is constrained of conditions in adverbial sentence that Intentionally-creating verb can't make. The asymmetry performance in active voice and passive voice sentences when Intentionally-creating verb with different complements.Use the theory of conceptual structure to explain the asymmetry performance in active voice and passive voice sentences when Intentionally-creating verb with different complements. Chapter VII ConclusionConcludes the paper, pointed out the lack of writing of the article and yet continue in-depth study. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Intentionally-creating verb, syntactic features, smantic features, patternsynonymic pattern, asymmetry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
