Study On Ouyang Xiu's Lyrics

As an important writer of lyrics in the history of the Northern Song Dynasty, Ouyang Xiu drew researchers'great attention, there is no lack of in-depth discussion and research results about this subject matter content, artistic style and history status of Ouyang Xiu' lyrics. So as a research object, Ouyang Xiu's words undoubtedly belong to the "old themes" in the research on lyrics. However, if we are able to jump out of the generality of the general discourse, as well as a simple repetition of the previous conclusions, effectively base on historical documents and text, and strengthen the detailed scrutiny and analysis, we will found that in the appearance of "old theme", there are some valuable in-depth spaces in Ouyang Xiu'lyrics. So, this thesis chose the "old theme" for further study. In the course of the study, the author is less entangled in the problems of common-sense, or have been full discussed, but instead sought to focus on identifying emerging issues, and draw new conclusions. This thesis consists of the following four areas.The first area is about the engraved historical investigation of Ouyang Xiu's lyrics, as well as the time of Created about part of the Ouyang Xiu's lyrics. Through detailed and thorough inspection of the version of Ouyang Xiu' lyrics set from the Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, This thesis probe some problem which academia failed to pay attention or have different points. This thesis probe the time of created of more than a dozen of Ouyang Xiu's lyrics, which predecessors never chronology or have different views on the time of CreatedThe second area is about two thought angles of the Ouyang Xiu's lyrics:the one is the spirit of the Northern Song Dynasty's scholar, anther is Ouyang Xiu's concept of personal passions. Firstly, this thesis focus to reveal how the ethos of the Northern Song Dynasty literati unique quietly but profoundly affect the creation of ideological attitudes and performance practices of Ouyang Xiu's. Secondly, this thesis Investigate the creation of Ouyang Xiu's flashy ci from a new perspective, comparative studing on Ouyang Xiu's flashy ci and his classical studies book,"the original meaning of The Book of Songs".This thesis reveals that the rather mean common ground exists between the two kind of work, which show that Ouyang Xiu's flashy lyrics are not "alien" to Ouyang Xiu's spiritual world.The third area is focused on two issues closely related to the artistic style of Ouyang Xiu's lyrics. The One is the relationship between the wording of skills of the Ouyang Xiu'lyrics and those work's style. Those wording of skills are the using of generated function word, technique of repeating word as well as borrowing the verses from previous writers. The other is the narrative features and dramatic effect in Ouyang Xiu's lyrics.The forth area is focused on combing the course of criticism on Ouyang Xiu'lyrics from the Song Dynasty to the Republic,to show on the specific background and the concept of lyrics, how the wealth of potential meaning which Ouyang Xiu's lyrics contains were ex caved, recieved and interpreted.The area primarily address four points: how the image of Ouyang Xiu'lyrics are gradually refined process in the interpretation and evaluation of researchers from the Song Dynasty; Jin Shengtan's criticism Ouyang Xiu's lyrics; the understanding and evaluation of Ouyang Xiu's lyrics from the special significance and representative poet in the Qing Dynasty, which show their own characteristics, mutual differences and their background factors; the differentment about recognition and assessment of Ouyang Xiu's lyrics between Wang Guowei and Hu Shi,who played an important role in the modern transformation of the lyrics study...
