Like Hu Yuan,Sun Fu and Shi Jie,Li Gou is a famous scholar in Song Dynasty.The core of his philosophy is how to govern the world and benefit the people.His philosophy is raised in the vision of Yi-ology.This paper will reveal his philosophy in the vision of Yi-ology.There are six parts in this paper.The introduction of this paper elaborates the previous academic research at first.Then it reveals the value of studying Li Gou's Philosophy.It talks about the research methods at last.Previous scholars have made much progress in the fields of Qi-ontology,Li and Utility Theory.But There are weak states in current studing of his philosophy.Few people pay attention to Li Gou's Yi-ology,especially his image-number.Nobody combine Li Gou's political philosophy with Yi-ology,which limits the further study of his philosophy.There are five research methods in this paper.Firstly,it combines history and logic when describing Li Gou's philosophy of governing the world in the vision of Yi-ology.Secondly,it combines image-number and meaning in the special vision of Yi-ology.Thirdly,this paper compares Li Gou's philosophy with other scholars'thought.Fourthly,it reveals Li Gou's philosophy which is contented in his poetries.Fifthly,it reveals the modern value of Li Gou's philosophy in the vision of cultural consciousness and the revival of China.The first section describes the Times,life and works of Li Gou.The foundation of Song Dynasty ended the split phase,which was good for the developing of the society.But there were still lots of social problems,such as the annex of farm field,superfluous officials, superfluous army and superfluous fees.At the same time, the minority groups'invade and harass threatened the state and its people. The academic trend carried on the revival of the Confucianists which began in the middle field of Tang Dynasty.In the field of Yi-ology,on the one hand,the Ology of Hetu and Luoshu became prosperous.On the other hand,becaused of the influence of Wang Bi's way of studying Yi-ology,the scholars paid more attention to the meaning of Zhouyi.Under the backgrounds talked above,Li Gou attempted to raise his philosophy which could govern the world and benefit the people in harmony. The second section describes how Li Gou rebuilds the image-number of Yi-ology. The core of his philosophy is how to govern the world and benefit the people.His philosophy is raised in the vision of Yi-ology. Yi-ology has its owen feature.Image-number is one essential factor of Yi-ology.Li Gou rebuilds the image-number of Yi-ology,which establishes the foundation for his philosophy.Li Gou's hard work displays in four spects.Firstly,he rebuilds the Ology of Hetu and Luoshu.In his view,Fu Xi raised Hetu and Luoshu by observing the whole world and he invented Eight Diagrams based on Hetu and Luoshu,which started Yi-ology.At first,he believes that Hetu and Luoshu are existed in Fu Xi's times.Then he points out that Fu Xi invented Eight Diagrams by the eight directions in Hetu,the images of five elements in Luoshu and the features of everything in the world.At last,he talks about the relationship between images and shapes and cosmology which are different from Liu Mu. Secondly,he lays stress on Yaowei Theory.When the Eight Diagrams are overlapped,the significance of Yaowei reveals.Li Gou carries on Wang Bi's Guazhu Theory and criticizes Liu Mu's Sancai Drawing based on it.Thirdly,Li Gou has a high regard for Guaqi Theory after Wang Bi.In his view,Fu Xi invented Eight Diagrams based on Hetu and Luoshu.From then on,Yi-ology had the content of Guaqi Theory.This content was succeeded by Wen Wang,Zhou Gong and Confucius.In the view of Guaqi Theory,Li Gou criticizes Liu Mu's"Kan breeds Fu and Li breeds Gou" theory.And then he brings out his own idea about "Qi Ri Lai Fu".Fourthly,Li Gou brings out his new view on number which is very important in Yi-ology.Based on criticise on Liu Mu's view,Li Gou interprets the meaning of fifty-five for "Tian Di Zhi Shu",fifty for "Da Yan Zhi Shu",and fourty-nine for Utility.By the efforts Li Gou makes above,he rebuilds the image-number theory of Yi-ology,which establishes the foundation for his meaning of Yi-ology..The third section describes how Li Gou uprights the feature of Yi-ology,which begins from image-number while ends with meaning.When Yizhuan interpreted Zhouyi Warp in the way of combining image-number and meaning,they became one in Yi-ology. Beginning from image-number while ending with meaning became unequivocal feature of Yi-ology.Whthin Li Gou's point of view,Fu Xi invented Hetu,Luoshu and the Eight Diagrams.The attempt of doing that was to teach people to settle to their social position and carry out their careers based on it.In Li Gou's view,Fu Xi established the researching feature of uniting image-number and the meaning as one.This feature was carried on by Wen Wang,Zhou Gong, Confucius and Wang Bi afterward.But the scholars in Han Dynasty who studied Zhouyi and Liu Mu in Song Dynasty rigidly adhere to image-number and diverge the core spirit of Yi-ology which was setted up by Fu Xi.Based on Wang Bi's Yi-ology,Li Gou accomplishes the task of uprighting the feature of Yi-ology,which begins from image-number while ends with meaning.In the process of Yi-ology's development, links up with five elements theory.people tend to talk about good or ill luck by the five elements theory.Li Gou brings up his idea on good or ill luck.At first,he points out that the breed and restrain of five elements can not decide people's good or ill luck.And then he tells us that human being themselves decide the good or ill luck.The fourth section describes Li Gou's political doctrine and governmental doctrine which are the core categories in political philosophy within the vision of Yi-ology.In Li Gou's sight,Governing the world and benefitting the people is the core spirit of Yi-ology from Fu Xi's times.This core spirit was carried on by Wen Wang,Zhou Gong and Confucius who succeeded and reshaped Yi-ology.And this spirit becomes the basic spirit of Yi-ology. In the strong feeling of misery and duty,he also carried on this spirit consciously.At the beginning,he reveals the political doctrine within the scope of the whole China under heaven.He talks about the monarch and his subjects which are core roles in political doctrine.In the vision of Yi-ology, he reveals how to act properly to be the monarch and his subjects. Then he points out how to communicate straightway between them.Furthermore,he thinks about the relationship between Huaxia and Yidi.In his view,Huaxia is the body of a man while Yidi are the arms and legs of a man.In the extensive and large-scale Yi-ology vision,Li Gou reshapes the governmental doctrine in the aspects of economics,education,law, mandarin and military.The conclusion of this paper describes the status and modern value of Li Gou's Philosophy.His philosophy is very significant in Chinese traditional culture.It not only had positive influence in Song Dynasty,but also gives us valuable cultural treasure.In the process of the revial of China,we should carry on and reshape Li Gou's philosophy in the vision of the combination of history and reality and culture consciousness.
