The origin and nature of Ci , also the relationship between Ci and the music .between Ci and the poetry .between Ci and Qu have become the points at issue among Ci critics .There are two propositions :one is to take the Ci as poetry , the other is to distinguish the poetry from Ci .Gradually ,Ci becomes the rhymed verse rather than the words of Qu . To the Yuan Dynasty , the trend of culture popularization and the rise of YuanQu change the appreciation taste of the public .
