This thesis contains an Introduction and four Chapters.The Introduction reviews the research on The Book of Songs in Han Dynasty both macroscopically and microscopically. First, it not only summarizes the various scholars' achievements on the history of The Book of Songs, but it also gives them an objective evaluation. Then, it assesses the scholastic research on different schools, authors and other cases.Chapter One traces back to the origin of the study on The Book of Songs in Han Dynasty, which is greatly influenced by the study during the Period before Qin Dynasty, and whose tone has been fixed then. The study of The Book of Songs in Han Dynasty's relationship to Confucius, Mencius and Xun Zin is discussed respectively. This chapter thinks that there exists consistence in the illustrating concept between the scholars in Han Dynasty and the scholars in the period before Qin Dynasty. The famous Confucians took an important role in this process.Chapter Two analyzes the process of establishing The Book of Songs as a classic in Han Dynasty. The status of this book experienced a dynamic development from a lower level to a higher level, concerning the establishment and reinforcement of Confucianism, the appearance of the Politics First principle, the variation of illustrating approaches, and other factors. The above-mentioned problems are discussed one after another in three parts. Besides, with reference to a variety of books, "the Works on the Research in Han Dynasty" are attached to the end of the second part and "the Materials of Scholars" to the end of the third part.Chapter three focuses on many basic problems about the studies of The Book of Songs in Han Dynasty with the historical point, such as the disagreement between the jinwenxuepai and the guwenxuepai, the style of writing as well as the development and variation. This section concludes that the school of Mao Poems belongs to the Guwenxuepai. It also researches on the similarity and the difference in studying works of Han Dynasty's scholars, which reveals the development and evolution of the study in Han Dynasty. The characteristics about area and time of the process of its development are analyzed too.Chapter four explains the influence of the study on The Book of Songs in Han dynasty upon the literature in Han dynasty from the angle of the creation of new styles, the change of contents and styles as well as the variation of literary thoughts."The Chronicle of Events" is attached to the end of this thesis.
