From analysis of the kinds of the common practice, the paper thinks that main trend of the common practice of the scholar is seriously deteriorated.There are many reasons of formation, including the effect and influence of emperor and court, many and diverse of officials, dictatorship of influential prime minister, the pressure of livelihood of the scholar, loss of morality of the scholar, and the basic reason is loss of morality of the scholar.The main trend of the common practice of the scholar mainly causes serious harm. Villains hold sway, and persons of integrity are depressed. People of talent are rare, and officials of supervise are dereliction of duty. It aggravates corrupt politics of late-stage Song Dynasty, and deepens economic crisis of late-stage Song Dynasty, and increases the turbulent social situation at that time. And the most serious harm quickens the destruction of Song Dynasty. But the non-main trend of the common practice of the scholar mainly causes benefit to society then. It decreases the turbulent social situation and delays the destruction of Song Dynasty. The common practice of the scholar in late-stage Song Dynasty not only exerts important influences on the culture of Yuan Dynasty, but also makes Yuan Dynasty oppose the common practice of the scholar and attach importance to officers and look down on scholar. And it not only exerts positive influences on ideas of hermits in late Ming Dynasty, but also exerts negative influences on discussion of non-tallying with the reality to scholar of Ming Dynasty. And it plays an exemplary role to the loyal and patriotic ideas in late Ming Dynasty.
