The Research On The Doctrinal Theory Of The Ancient Chinese Literature

In the history of the ancient Chinese literary theory, the doctrinal theory of literature is a dominant section which has controlled the ancient Chinese literature development for more than 2000 years. This paper attempts to undertake a comprehensive and systematic research on the doctrinal theory of literature, based on the all-round study of it. Therefore , not only is the history of the doctrinal theory of literature covered, but also the theoretical study of it is carried out. At the same time, while studying the heritage and reform of the doctrinal theory of literature , the research feels the pulse of the nature of the theory all along. Furthermore, the paper is intended to present completely the theoretical system of the doctrinal theory of literature to facilitate the evaluation to the theory and make full use of it.The paper is divided into six sections, which are the preface, the concluding remarks and 4 chapters. The preface gives a general introduction about the doctrinal theory of literature and about how and why the paper is written. Chapter One is on the development of the history of the ancient Chinese literary theory and the changes of the schools of the theory .This chapter also focuses the role the theory played during the different periods. Chapter Two mainly discusses the three critical categories of the doctrinal theory of literature to show its theoretical key points. Chapter Three takes the theoretical system of the theory into consideration and makes a concrete analysis to it at different levels. Chapter Four evaluates the literature doctrinal theory and makes known its effect on the modern and contemporary literary theories. The concluding marks tells people how to pass down the doctrinal theory of literature , taking the global culture into consideration.
