| The thesis intends to explore the topic of human beings' comprehensive development through studying ways of labor, to discuss the possibilities, necessities and significance of manual work as practice of aesthetics entering today's social life . Directed by the theory of man-emancipating and the idea of practice of Marxism, this dissertation follows a way of cultural philosophy, while its method and content involves fine arts, industrial arts, aesthetics and technical philosophy and sociology etc. The article insists that at the information age when people increasingly released from laboring, handwork for its humanistic properties gets once more to be demanded, and becomes the aesthetic practice by which the masses can create a kind of artistic life at their free time, thus handcraft bears great significance for improving the structural disadvantages of civilization, for making modern personality into perfection and for enhancing a harmonious development in terms of body and mind. Today, the reviving of manual work also has the extensive meaning of politics, economics, society and cultural construction concerned, such as protecting environment and humanistic resources, developing ecological economy and cultural industry, as well as preserving individually local characteristics, broadening the channels of employment, and enriching the labor and product forms etc.
