ShiTao regarded the theory of "YiHua" as the orinin of Painting. Meanwhile, he thought of the Taoism and new Confucianism as the philosophical basis of" YiHua". Martin Heidegger contended that the essence of "truth"lies in "untruth" that is mysterious, and he also maintained that art is the becoming and happening of truth. On the purport of art ,both theories belong to the state thory of field being. As far as the theory of artistic creation is concerned, Shi Tao inherited the traditional theories of "response (GanYing) aesthetics", and put forward the theory of "shen yu" in his Hua Yu Lu, while Heidegger proposed "the thrust of truth" in his famous Work The origin of the work of Art ".Although the two theories have their unique traditional and cultural characteristics in essence ,they have much in common in the understanding of the important relationship between what the painter is and what the painting is really like.The principle of "likeness in discrepancy"in artistic creation which was proposed by Shi Tao is not only a summary of Chinese painting.practice,but also a reflection of painting practice worldwide. Moreover,nowadays, this principle plays an increasingly prominent role and acts as guideline in the process of aesthetic development.
