A Report On The Translation Of Pound&Joyce Letters

My translation mission is Letters of Joice and Pound. As a published book with around128000words, which was integrated and compiled by New Direction Publishing group in thesixth avenue in New York, according to the Letters of Joice and Pound from1913to1945.Mainly recorded the two men’s communication on literary creation, editing, publishing andexchanges from1913to1945. We Can say this is a communication record of two literarymasters’Soul dialogue, which is of influential and great helpful to understand Americanliterature. The translation project is not cooperated with any translation companies, finishedindependently by the translator. In this paper, the translator mainly finished translating theoriginal from the semantic correctness, the transmission of cultural information and thefunction equivalence three angles. Translation strategies involved in this paper include theinformation increase and information cut method, etc. Different text translation, should adoptdifferent translation strategies, the aim is to maximize the realization of text functions. In thiscase, the translator mainly use the combination of "spirit likeness" and "appearance likeness"translation strategies, to achieve the function of epistolary text communication as much aspossible.
