The Pronoun Study On Xiangnan Dialects

The thesis mainly deals with how the pronouns in Xiangnan dialects are used. Based on a study of historical documents and discussions in works of dialectology,and using a great amount of first - hand materials collected by the auther in her fieldwork in about twelve courty' s twenty - eight different areas. A systematic discription and analysis is devoted to the uses of the personal pronoun, demonstrative pronoun, interrogative pronoun in Xiangnan dialects and a comparision of pronoun uses is also made between Xiangnan dialects, south - east dialects , south - west mandarin and Minority languages revealing close or distant ralations between them.
