Historically speaking, Britain is a multi-national country. A new school of historical studies has tried to get rid of the Anglo-centric view of examining history since 70s. And these scholars have written lots of books from all perspectives. This paper is divided into 4 parts.The 1st part introduces academic history on Britain history and give a conclusion that the country must be re-examined from microscopic view. New studies help understand the complexity and uniqueness of United Kingdom.The 2nd part tries to outline the main frame of Anglo-scottish relations and find the complicacy between the two nations.The 3rd part is the most important one. Economically Britain had been one of the strongest countries of that time in Europe after union. The free trade district made foundation for Britain to realize her empire dream. Politically the two nations negotiated many times for parliaments, king power and constitution but compromised for all. Legally England and Scotland kept pluralism because of useless talks. Ecclesiastically the two nations made each other's religion untouched. Nationally Britain has become a multi-racial country with Scottish independence.The 4th part tells the dependency of all far-away nations to England. And England made use of her economic power to control all neighbours and at last became empire in 19 century...
