University is an important driving force for the nation's construction and development,and the reform of the universities is bound to receiving more attention of the state.In the 16 th and17thcenturies,in order to adapt to the building of the bureaucracy of the nation,and meet the needs of the emerging class to promoting their own social status,England universities began the nationalize reform under the push of the state coercive force.In the early period of the Nationalization Reform,Henry VIII to Mary I,England universities carried out the reform preliminarily.After Henry VIII and Edward VI launched a royal visit,attacked the Catholic heresy in the colleges,as well as investigated colleges property and took other measures,the universities completed the transfer of its authority from the Roman Church to the State.With the advancement of nation-state construction,the new requirements have been put forward to reform the universities further.The universities had regulated their teaching contents,which had been undertaking the important task of cultivating the talents needed for nation-state construction.During Mary's administration,the preceding achievements of the University's Nationalization Reform were destroyed,but the reliance of England universities on State increased.In the later period of the Nationalization Reform,the reign of Elizabeth I,essentially,the universities completed the nationalization reform.After universities accepted the Royal Visitation and purged heresy,Protestant and reformer energetically took action again.Universities of England became the organization that receiving the supervision of royal powers and meeting the needs of the national-state development.Later during the Reform,universities' training objectives have been laid behind the needs of elites of National construction heavily,and religious pervaded within its study and life,but the important role of University Nationalization Reform in nation-state construction should not be ignored.The state's supervision for universities is a prominent feature of the Reform of England Universities.Affected by the construction of a nation-state,the English universities got rid of the control of the Pope.Under the influence of the state's force,universities completed the reform of the curriculum content and training objectives and met the needs of bureaucracy building during the development of a nation-state.From the 30 s to the 40 s of the 17 th century,a large number of students,mainly gentlemen,poured into England universities.So it wasbecoming the most important organization that the England universities for training officials and civilizing all classes in society.The state's supervision had promoted the reform of the universities nationalization,and,in turn,the Reform of universities had promoted the construction of nation-states.The Nationalization Reform of the Universities was an important reflection on the founding of the absolutism royal rights of England,the momentous part of social transformation,and the significant segment of the construction of nation-states.The state ought to strengthening and emphasizing the development of higher education.
