Qing Dynasty Guizhou Bai Miao Map Study

The topic of this thesis is about the ethnic document of Manchu Dynastyin Guizhou -- 《Baimiao Tu》 . The point of research is the conditionof politics, economy and culture about 86 kinds of "Miaoman" in Guizhou what is record in the book 《Qian Nan Miaoman Tu Shuo》 which was completed in Manchu Dynasty Guangxu year.This is a new research issues, and the research results at domestic and foreign are extremely rare. We divide the research point contents of this thesis into eight parts: l,The condition of collection and research about 《Baimiao Tu 》 at domestic and foreign. This part collects and integrates the information most systematically and completely which has something to do with the collection and research about 《Baimiao Tu》 at domestic and foreign.2, The origins of the kind of document about《Baimiao Tu》 . This thesis is the first result which traces the origins of 《Baimiao Tu》 back to the period of Nan Dynasty Liangyuandi. 3, DO research about the edition, author and the complete time of 《Qian Nan Miaoman Tu Shuo》 . In this part, I will examine and correct the condition of its compiling , drawing, engraving's background and time , and the author Guifu. 4, Research about the record condition of the category of Guizhou "Miaoman" in 《Baimiao Tu》 and Manchu Dysnaty's document. This part lists the dividing condition of all kinds of document referring to the category of Guizhou's Miaoman. 5, Study about the diving principle and way referring to the category of "Miaoman" in 《Qian Nan Miaoman Tu Shuo》 . 6, Identify the race property about Guizhou's 86 kinds of "Miaoman" in Manchu Dynasty. In this part , I identify the race composition of the 86 kinds of "Miaoman" in the first step in the light of documentary record and the research of the ethnology. 7, Comb and do textual research about "insurrection" of "Miaoman" which records in 《 Qian Nan Miaoman Tu Shuo 》 . This part combs primarily the "Miaoman" several times uprising in the ex- period of Manchu Dynasty. 8, The production activity and culture features of Manchu Dynasty what reflect form 《Qian Nan Miaoman Tu Shuo》 . The point of research is the productive mode by mutual penetrating between minority and Han and the life of culture of every race. The above big part of contents is a new result , and there is no one researches it at domestic and foreign.
