Confucian philosophy is the most important "ideaistic gene" of Chinese culture which can never be ignored, and today we can never talk about Chinese philosophy thought without this school.While in terms of Confucian philosophy itself, Dong-Zhongshu,a Confucian scholar who lived in West Han, had played a great role in the historical process of Confucian thought's development, evolvement and forming its own style.lt is provided that we can not discoursed on Chinese philosophy without confucianism,then we can also not discourse on Confucianism without Dong-Zhongshu.Either his story or his learning is a controversial but attractive "problem".This dissertation make some trial individual reading on Dong's political philosophical thought. This dissertation includes as follows a few chapters primarily:Introduction: From horizon of political philosophy, by phenomenological hermeneutic reading method ,1 analyze the historical origin of the theory of the Dong-Zhongshu and the present study conditions briefly, and expatiate the possibility of his theory to be regarded as a kind of political philosophy, and the attitude we should hold towards reading his text.Chapter I : I discuss the recondite character of Dong's political philosophy.I analyze Dong's horizon of unscrambling classic in a way of "historical creating comprehension" and his reading to the writing of Chun-qiu which he regarded as a political affair.Chapter II: I discuss Dong's historical "say" about the idea of secular value.I discuss Dong's establishment of the conception of Confucian "virtuous politics" (德征) and his reasoning on benevolence (仁) which he regarded as a nation's justice from his logistic dialectic of Confucian theory of humanism.Chapter III: In this chapter, I discuss the problem of Dong's political philosophy's appealing to the metaphysics of the foundation of secular value. I expound the individual effort which Dong-Zhongshu has made to pursue the ultimate foundation of Confucian political philosophy, and the existential "view world" which he has constructed with God (天) as its core, and his thought of induction between God (天) and human by which he has made his discourse surpass the ambit of the existential horizon.Chapter IV: I discuss Dong's historical justification for the validity of temporal regime. In this chapter, I expound Dong's political idea of establishing a kind of divine political ethic by which he alleged that regality come from God (天) .The demonstration of this idea is radically based upon Dong's serious attitude on the signification of the sacrifice for God (天) .And Dong's ambition of expecting to mold a kind of national myth of ethical religion has brought so called "exoteric politics" and the institutionalization of Confucianism.At last, I discuss Dong's inheriting and developing of the traditional revolutionary spirit of Confucianism, and the foreordination of Confucian writing revolution tending towards discourse despotism in Dong's political philosophy.
