An important mark in the transformation of 90s' Chinese literature's production is the rising of publishing agency from the propagating media of literature to both the organizer and manager of literature. With the reinforcement of its subjectivity, publishing has already become an independent force which influences the development of literature. Under the double pressure of market economy and media, publishing agency's turn to the market has not only led the industrialization and mediaization, but also brought the complete transformation of literary ideas, producing pattern and form. The producing model's built of best-sellers has not only brought the one-sided prosperity of popular literature, but also intensified the fight of various kinds of power in literary field, and therefore pushed forward the development of contemporary mass culture; On one hand, mediaization of literature has promoted the prosperity of media criticism and novels, on the other hand , it has led the loss of fabricating spirit and self-discipline of literature. All the phenomena mentioned above indicate that changes have occurred in 90s' literature, that is, the control of mainstream ideology has been replaced by the control of market and technological ideology, political ideology has been replaced by market and media ideology. This new and developing ideology will turn to be more and more important force in the prosperity of contemporary literary growth. Therefore, the essence of the relationship between 90s' Chinese literature and publishing is the tensional relationship between literary aesthetic value and its commercial value, literary inventional individuality and industrial production of publishing culture, literary exploration and publishing profit , diversity in literary styles and forms and simplification of publishing taste. In the contradictory tensional construction, the opposite relationship between publishing and literature will not disappear , they will keep resisting ,clashing and reflecting with each other, become an inner driving force which will ensure the activity of literature.
