Schutz was the founder of phenomenological sociology,and also a famous phenomenolgist .His research was between phenomenology and sociology.This feature made his theory a special one .he followed Husserl's philosophical ideal which was to find real meaning base for concrete science .But he didn't go after Husserl's transcendental phenomennology pace by pace .On the controary ,he found a theory which was called life world phenomennology through his research on the structure of life world and its many layers .This dissertation starts from the investigation on the background of Schutz's theory ,ranging from his analysis on the character and structure of life world ,to his development of d theory of intersubjectivity,to his expound on the question of knowlogy in life world,to his deepen on the methodology of socialscience from a special angle .Then by compare his life word theory with those of Habermas' and Marx's , develop a evaluation of Schutz's theory based on Marxism .According to the auther ,Schutz's deep insight in the premise ,structure and philosophical meaning of commonsense world open a new field for philosophical research .It in some sense enhance the trend to lifeworld in mordern philosophy .What's more ,he emphasized that we should use action instead of counsciousness as our starting point,this lay a new foundation for the research of socialscience methodology .compared with the philosophy of Marxism ,though they are essentially different,they share some common ideas .Even though there are many shortcomings within Schutz's theory ,his special research on life world which is the basement of philosophy and other science, is of both theoritical and practical values to our research on lifeworld and our construction of modem lifeworld.
