Habermas's lifeworld theory is one of the most important parts of his theoretical system of communicative action, and consists of his fundamental thinking about western societal rationalization. Habermas put forward his special idea on modern social reality, reason and modernity, based on his double framework of system and lifeworld. Different from the traditional 'critical theory', He claimed that the origin of modern social crisis was the 'seam' between system and lifeworld and the system's colonization of lifeworld, so the sideness-reason was its logic result. As for sideness-reason and modernity, we should rescue instead reject them, in contemporary, modernity was just as an unfinished project .So in order to rescue them, we must integrate the uncoupling system and lifeworld again, keep the lifeworld independent and autonomic, develop the potentiality of communicative rationality. According to this article, I pointed out that Habermas's positive constructional thoughts about modernity and his "post-weberism" interpretation on societal rationalization Though this thoughts partly belong to idealism, there were much theoretical and real value, which could provide useful experience for our modernization.
