Interpretation Of A New Generation Of Chinese Film Culture In The Context Of Globalization

This paper attempts to make a penetrating explanation and analysis of the production, the development and the current creation of China's new generation movies within the context of globalization. The publication of the New Main Stream Movies—A Suggestion to Domestic Movies in 1999 symbolizes the division of the new generation movies into those of the earlier stage and the later stage at which the change of movie production from the individual artistic trend to main artistic stream has taken place.It also makes a sound analysis and exposition of the gain and loss in the category of culture and esthetics. New generation movies contain the creational ideas of surpassing the tradition and are orientated to make the audience to memorize the era and history through real video creation. New generation movies follow the humanism spirits existing in China' s movies from the first to the fifth generation and the creation also declares publicly the coming of the realism nature spirits. New generation movies inherit the on-the-sport esthetics propositions by Bazan and Clarkl and refuse to make any objective criticism and hint. At the early stage the new generation movies haven' t properly handled the relationship between preserving the artistic characteristics and meeting the needs of the market and the creation presents the peculiar situation as "blossoming inside but smelling scent outside" . And at the later stage, their artistic forms of expressing the new main stream still have to be improved.This paper also attempts to discover the art regulation from the analysis of the phenomenon, induce the significance and value and combine the characteristics of the globalization process of China' s movies to work out the countermeasures against the problems related to China' s new generation movies in the future.
