In the past thousand years, researches and studies of "The Book of Songs"have accumulated fruitful results. Among those studies, from folkloric angle to analyze and understand "The Book of Songs"was also a quite accurate and meaningful research approach. However, due to historical and circumstantial reasons, research in this area had been rather weak and limited, especially in the area of exploring "The Book of Songs ·Er Nan"from manners and folkloric angles to analyze their culture related phenomenons .So far, it seems there is no research paper has been published in public domain. And this is also the basis and important aspect of the research on the "The Book of Songs ". Therefore, there is a need to explore them for deeper understanding. The name of " The Book of Songs ·Er Nan" came from the collected poems from the two large counties in Shan region that were under the governments of Zhou Gong and Shao Gong during the early West Zhou dynasty. These poems had recorded and reflected the West Zhou era society's production and living situations. These poems not only represented the core of Zhou culture, but were also showing the West Zhou era's spirit in society's behavioral guide and musical performing regulations profoundly. To certain extent ,Manners and Habits are based on habits and customs ,that is to say, habits refer to social habits while manners refer to these Rules of the society. Originally it should include two sides of ritual standards and folk customs. The ritual standards defer from political rules that we commonly understand .It refers to "Manners"that result from "Habits"and govern the "Habits"and have close relations with "Habits". Some habits of people's lives are conventional .while once these habits were absorbed and fixed as rules by the governor , as social political means , it becomes Habits. There were many Manners and Habits of West Zhou were recorded in "Er Nan ".From them we can see how those people in that period lived and their convention of Manners .These are important historical materials to research and know the state of living of the West Zhou .So these materials can help us to know the social historical states of West Zhou deeply and is also an important topic of research on social history. What is written in the "Er Nan"involves all the aspects of the social lives .The content is quite plentiful. We know the social historical conditions of West Zhou dynasty very well according to the research on the contents of marriage ,garment , pray , collection , fishing , raising domestic fowl , food and cooking in them . We consider that the form of marriage in West Zhou is an one-husband-and-one-wife system. While hierarchy is the Natural characteristic .The noble women in that period have the habit of wearing wig can provide the evidence that the development of hair style of Chinese women. Farming was the main manner in that period . People in that period had a poor living because of the limit by the level of productive power at that time. The proportion of collecting crops and wild vegetables, and fishing and hunting for food in daily life was rather heavy. They are the main source to obtain food .
