"Zhang Lu" And The Researh Of Folkloric Vocabulary

"Zhanglu"written by Chenzufan in Qing Dynasty is a book about the titleexegesis,retained a large number of folkloric vocabulary.The study, exploration on thefolkloric vocabulary from this book to study folk linguistics have importantenlightenment. This thesis was divided into six parts, which reviewed the academicvalue of the book in the research on folkloric vocabulary.The first part introduced the general of “Zhanglu”, which included the author,Notes style of the compilation technique and its different versions.The second part researched its classification of folkloric vocabulary from“Zhanglu”. It was divided into six categories: The first category reflected the workingpeople’s daily production and Life; The second category reflected the Custom of themarriage and the birth; The third category reflected the communicative conventions.The fourth category reflected Folklore from the clan, the family. The fifth categoryreflected the customs of the funeral, worship and religious. The sixth categoryreflected the slang, dialects. This research reflected that this book retained richfolkloric vocabulary. At the same time, This research systematically classifiedfolkloric vocabulary which are not classified in this book.The third part studied the exegetical method of the book.The study wasimportant to Linguistics and Culture. The exegetical method of the book Included fourcategories: Exegesis According to the ancient books and pronunciation,Glyph,meaning of Written words; Getting rid of the words borrowed and finding theoriginal words; Identifing Glyph;Finding Etymology. Etymology includes Traditionaletymology,Folkloric etymology. Folkloric etymology in this thesis found the sourceof folkloric vocabulary from folkloric things, legends,customs, faith.The fourth part explained folkloric vocabulary in this book from rhetoric.Rhetoric make language accurate and vivid. There are many rhetoric expressions infolkloric vocabulary. This part was divided into three aspects:Some formed words through the ways of rhetoric; Folk psychology on rhetoric produced Influence; folkbuilted rhetorical context.The fifth part appraised the book on the whole mainly from three aspects:Itinterpreted folkloric vocabulary from two aspects of ancient works and folk; Itsexegesis combined with the evolution of words’ meaning; It contained richvocabulary. It had the dictionary form.The sixth part summarized the full text.
