Research On The 1911 Revolution In Jiangsu

The 1911 Revolution is the first tremendous change in the 20th century of China, and opens a door for China's national rejuvenation. So it has very important historical meaning. In jiangsu region, the economy is booming, and the culture is flourishing: Shanghai is a very important activity center of revolutionaries; the force of constitutionalists in Suzhou is most powerful; Nanjing is the capital of the Provisional Government. All of these make Jiangsu a very important integral part in the 1911 revolution. During these years, scholars have gained a lot study fruits on the revolution of the whole country, especially that of hunan, Hubei, Zhejiang and Yunnan; a lot of books about the subject have been published. But the research on the 1911 revolution of Jiangsu region is weak and scattered, and till now there is no special book on the subject. It is a pity. So strengthening the research on it, not only has great academic value in revealing the characters of the 1911 revolution in Jiangsu region, and deepening the study about the subject, but also has important practical meaning by revealing the law of Chinese modernization, and giving some benefit lessons for today's socialist modernization and construction.This article, based on the achievements of predecessors, with historical materialism as guiding principle, through excavating some related historical materials, combining research on whole with part, probes deeply into the emerging, development, upsurging, outcomings of the revolution in Jiangsu region. It analyzes the motive forces and impediments in Jiangsu's modernizing progression; and aims to conclude some historical experiences and lessons.This article is composed of three parts: introduction, the main body and conclusion.
