Mirror The Beast Woke Up - The Film "spectacle"

From the day when movie appeared one hundred years ago, the question of "reality" has been in sharp, sentimental and critical condition. Almost all the movie practices and theories tried to find and prove the intimate relation between the images and the realities when they were involved in the question of the nature of movie. And almost all of them regard "reality" as their aim, which led to the tendency for reality and reality even became an absolute element.However, reality is not the whole secret for a good movie. From the ontological perspective, art is a kind of "difference" based on the real world and always embraces otherness and changes. Art also includes surpassing the circumscription and the reality, because once art becomes a copy of reality it will disconstruct itself and lose the meaning of its existence. This point of view is particularly fit for movie due to its characters of mechanic which derives from movie's connection to the reality. From the perspective theory of acceptance, the audience both wants the movie to be in accordance with their experience for the purpose of accepting it and wants it to transcend their hearing and seeing to satisfy their curiosity in a strange world. This dissertation reviewed the classical reality theory and doubted it, and then discussed and regarded "miracle" as important as "reality" through reflecting movie itself and studying the "mentality when watching" and "threaten from the real world". The miracle and reality became two same important standards to evaluate movies and they are the two faces of Janus.There had been two understandings of miracle, one is the impact of the stunt effect to people's listening and seeing, the other is the consuming aesthetics which often discover ugly part of certain culture. This made the concept of miracle is not neutral, but derogatory and disapproval. The author of dissertation reviewed and redefined the concept of miracle and detailedly analyzed some typical movies, including movies from China and other countries, and then discussed the theory of Body Miracle, Culture Miracle, Narrating Miracle and tried to discover their aesthetic...
