As a heretical thinker, Albert Camus made all his mental efforts to brink of individual survive. For that severe problem in the 20th century, he has assimilated nutrition from existentialism philosophy and the spirit of Grecian tragic, inherited the tradition of French philosopher, and devoted all his attention to the modern people' s survival predicament.As a great novelist in the 20th century, Camus aroused the modern people to think the truth of life with his superior talent. The themes of both his first famous work The Stranger and his symbolistic novel The Plague depict the retaliation man made to the history with little individuality. Camus put his most painstaking effort into drama what his favorite type of literature. He had a deep fancy for tragedy because of his unique temperament and long time influence of Grecian tragedy. Besides some of his philosophical and explanative works like Caligula, Misunderstanding, he is world-famous as an advocate and practitioner of modern tragedy. In the essays The Myth of Sisphus, Revolter, his deserving masterpieces, Camus concentrated his absurdism philosophy. The former portrays man' s life which is full of the endless donkeywork, and describes Sisphus as a person of the modern people' s misery in exile and tenacious spirit in resistance. The latter is in search of the beauty of solemn and stirring in humanity during resistance.Obviously, the common source of all those mentioned works with different types of literature in Camus' philosophic thinking is absurdism. It is the rupture between man' s aspiration to nous, harmonious, foreverness and the finity of human' s life, between man' s struggle and the infructuous ending. That absurdism thinking is the start and destination of Camus' reation.On that basis, Camus discussed the psychic struggle and spiritual outle of absurd being. Those so-called absurd being do nothing for foreverness, but never deny people who believe foreverness at the same time.
