Simple Analysis Of The Absurd Expression In Figurative Painting

Absurdity has a critical philosophical consciousness and a historic appearance after World War II.It is not nihilism,but a kind of deep understanding of itself,turning survival into a struggle of freedom,passion,and repetition.As a kind of philosophy with critical consciousness and direct emptiness,absurdism has its core of thought continuing into the art genre.The artist's expression of absurdity is of great significance in this era.The works that express it will be like a sharp blade to pierce the curtain of life,let us think about the existence of the individual,keep the subject's resistance,and make us awake and passionately alive.To study the absurd expression in figurative painting,one is to analyze how absurdity is expressed by the creators in painting creation;the other is to distinguish the absurd expression from the expression of grotesque,funny and other abnormal art;Exploring the possibility of absurd aesthetics as an independent modern aesthetic and how such an absurd aesthetic is implemented in figurative painting.This paper mainly analyzes the absurd and unique aesthetic style by explaining the meaning of the four levels of absurdity.Through the absurd aesthetic style,we find the characteristics of absurdity in the expression of the subject of figurative painting,and through the characteristics of the grotesque and funny art in the works,sum up the characteristics of absurdity in the form of the works and the characteristics of its hodgepodge.The research method is mainly based on the artist's case study,comparison and analogy,thus gradually clarifying how absurdity is expressed in figurative painting.The discussion in this article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is divided into four subsections to explain the absurd meaning from four levels,focusing on the absurd philosophical meaning and absurd aesthetic style.The analysis of the absurdity on the philosophical level leads to the absurd consciousness as the core of the absurd drama and the absurd aesthetic expression.This consciousness exists as a concept in art works.The analysis of the absurd aesthetic determines its uniqueness as a modern aesthetic style,and analyzes it in terms of its characteristics.This chapter is not a simple interpretation of meaning,it is an affirmation of the unique aesthetic meaning of absurdity,and it also provides the possibility and basis for the study of distinguishing absurdity from other abnormal art.The second chapter is the key chapter of this paper.It focuses on the expression characteristics in the absurd art works from the perspective of the subject and the expressions from the object of the work.The two main parts of this chapter are the words "expression" and "performance".In the first part of "Expression",three characteristics are elaborated,namely the symbolicity of the image object,the criticality of the theme and the miscellaneousness of the emotional expression.In the second part of "Performance",four general expressions are summarized,which are the playfulness of the classic image,the spatial combination of contradictions,the exaggerated and bizarre deformation of the object,and the contrast between the content and the topic.This chapter is mainly to elaborate on the seven parts of these two sections and specific case analysis.On the basis of summarizing the full text,the third chapter summarizes and reflects on the individual's artistic creation experience.By analyzing the three existing works,and reflecting on the deficiencies in individual creative expression,the third chapter guides the individual artistic creation.At the same time,on the basis of rethinking self-creation,we further understand the criticality of absurd consciousness in painting and the necessity of its expression.
