Liu Xin And Han Heritage Literature Contention

The study wants to display the character of conversion of the debate within classical studies, showing its meaning in Han dynasty's classical studies by teasing several important debates between New Text and Old Text(Jinwen and Guwen) proponents in the Han dynasty.That is the abstract of every chapter.The first chapter: Discussing scholarship of Liu Xin, for example 'Citing comment of Zhuan to explain the classics', ' Solar eclipse and Twelve interfluves', the misreading of original history and so on, to making clear that when reviewing the Liu Xin's scholarship, the original history and the issues in the subsequent reading history should be differentiated definitely.The second chapter: Deeper argument than last chapter. Past scholars used to connect Liu Xin' advocating Old Text with the regime of Wang Mang when they discussed Liu Xin. But the opinion above would be corrected if the setting system and background of the 'Doctor Officer' in Han dynasty was definite. The ShiquGe, BaihuGuan Meeting in this chapter would be argued circling the Doctor's setting system.The third chapter: Reviewing the conversion of the debate within classical studies from the point of the topic study. The debate between New Text and Old Text proponents in the Han dynasty not only originates from the disagreement of setting 'Doctor Officer' , but comes out from the differences of argumentation.This chapter provides another perspective for understanding the knowledge modality of the debate between New Text and Old Text proponents by reviewing the character of 'pretended falsehoods' of debates on the classical works.The forth Chapter: Emphasizing the argument of debates on the classical works. The arguments of He Xiu versus Zheng Xuan with the character of pretended falsehoods also gives prominence to the logic of the debate within classical studies in aspects of truth history, teaching and the bates in rhetoric study. The logic is different from the setting 'Doctor Officer' , which is direct material for rethinking the knowledge modality of the debate between New Text and Old Text proponents.The fifth chapter: Discussing Study On New Text and Old Text of Liao Ping which belongs to the field of the leaning history. Liao Ping considered the sticking point of the partition of New Text and Old Tex consisted in ceremony system. This chapter argues how this point came into being and incidental questions and presents new solutions.Appendix: Studying on the characters and connotation of the debate between New Text and Old Text proponents in Qing dynasty to provide necessary reference to the debate between New Text and Old Text proponents in Han dynasty the case of Liu Fenglu' Study On Chunqiu.
