The paper explains the realm of life in a way of cultural philosophy, that is,explains the life from the perspective of cultural philosophy. Various resources ofphilosophical theories are quated in the paper to analyse and explore some basicproblems about the realm of life.In Chapter 1, the essence of the realm of life is discussed. Based on the inherentquality of the subject, the realm of life is the level or state whichpeople'inner-character has reached, and is the height which people'meaning world orintenting state and human nature has got to on the special conditions of time andspace. It marks that people'lives have entered a meaning world and people'spirit hasraised different levels. The realm of life is the value of life that people pursue on thebase of people'general existing state, and the state that people transcend their lifeexperience. It is achieved through people'practice on the special conditions of timeand space, so it relates to the value, meaning, ideality, attitude, culture of life, and soon. It includes and generalizes these. The realm of life is human moral stature inessence. It is characteried with experience, lasting, coexisting, transcendence, ideology and practice.Chapter 2 discusses the producing of the realm of life. The thoughts about therealm of life in pre-Qin,ancient China and ancient Greece are obviously different inthe dominance of empirical and rational philosophy. The empiricism advocates thebest and beautiful realm of life while the rationalism advocates the true and beautifulrealm of life. The realm of life is the product from which subjective and objectiveblend, so it is from what subjects caltivate, for the subjective cognition dominates therealm of truth, the feeling dominates the realm of beauty and the subjective willdominates the realm of good;on the other hand, it is restricted by many objectivefactors, mainly the culture, which results in human nature, regulates the ideal humancharacter and human culture. From the perspective of cultural philosophy, the realmof life is finally achieved through human practice. What the realm of life is like isdetermined by human practice.Chapter 3 is about structural level of the realm of life. As an organic whole, thestructure of the realm of life is comprised of intellectual, emotional and willingfactors from the angle of cultural mentality. Different structural level of the realm oflife is formed with different forms of factors. As a whole, the realm of life is the unityof the true, the good and the beautiful. From the angle of the theory of wholeness, therealm of life contains three different levels of the true, the good and thebeautiful. From the angle of individual life understanding, the realm of life containsfour different levels. The two angles are coherent. The realm of life internalizes inhuman character and externalizes in human behavior. We can have a deep andrational concept of the structural level of the realm of life through the relationsbetween human and nature, human and society, and human and ego.Chapter 4 is about value evaluation of the realm of life. As a subjective spiritualexisting of humans, the value function of the realm of life will at last return to the lifeworld. On the one hand, the realm of life makes human nature rich, perfect and rising,on the other, it can bring about great practical value to the social economy, politicsand culture by human. Also it can arouse the subjective consciousness of humans, make people reach the realm of facing life, optimism and aggressiveness. In the reallife, evaluation penetrates human material and mental life. The realm of life is alsoevaluated by human and society. So it is quite necessary to establish the concept ofevaluation of the realm of life, construct the standard of evaluation, and regulate theprinciple of evaluation. Only after establishing the right system of evaluation, cansociety be endued with ideal, members of the society with the meaning of life, andsubjects in the society with happiness. The final chapter discusses the constructing of the ideal realm of life in thepresent times. Constructing the realm of life that accords with the spirit of the timesis not only the necessity of human transcendental spirit, but of establishing theharmonious socity. The ideal realm of life should be the unity of the final aim and theaim of the times. The final aim of the realm of life is the freedom of combining thetrue, the good and the beautiful. In our socialist primary stage, the aim of the realm oflife of the times is the harmonious unity of material and spiritual ambit. The realm oflife is not abstract but concrete, so the ideal realm of life can be realised byestablishing life belief, developing collectivism, forstering criticial spirt, regulatingthe fair and impartial regimes, reforming the way of life and so on.
