Sino-japanese Absorbed Western Realistic Painting, A Comparative Study

West oil painting originated from Netherland between the end of 14c and the beginning of 15c. Materials of oil painting with extremely realistic representation, west realism oil painting became the main stream of the painting with great achievement. Realistic painting is not only deficient in east painting, but also a kind of painting that is worth studying to other regions on the world, especially a benefit supplement to painting of China and Japan. It is an ineluctable art history phenomenon that painting of China and Japan absorbs realistic painting.Along with Christian missionary and trade to east, realistic painting was introduced into China and Japan. There is close history origin in traditional cultural between China and Japan, for example Japan ancient art root in China art directly, and is very similar with China art. When most representative west realistic painting was introduced into China and Japan, big difference was showed between them, not only the attitude, aspect and level of acceptance, process of absorbing, but also transformation of oil painting style absorbed. Looking for foundation stone of history, society and cultural tradition, we summarize the historical experiences and lessons from absorbability, assimilation, transformation between China and Japan.From the process of absorbing west realistic oil painting of China and Japan, we realized that as a strong cultural tradition country, we can't be submerged by so-called powerful culture. History give edification that the best way to using of west art essence is to protect and develop national fine art tradition.Exchange of art was inevitable phenomenon before, is in rapid development today, will be more frequent in the future. Therefore, it's more significant to summarize and reflect upon past success and failure by compare, accept the lessons and experience. When we will face the introduced exotic art, we will reduce the unnecessary blindness and blockness with sober mind, enhance the identified ability to exotic art and improve the filtration strategy of art, elevate the motivation and initiation, in order to create more splendid art painting from the assimilation.
