A Study On The Diplomacy Of Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore (1965-1990)

Singapore proves to be an extremely active mini state in the post-war international world during the Lee Kuan Yew's era. It claims that, in Lee Kuan Yew's era, such factors as Singapore's geographical location, history of founding, political construct, economical level and culture had generated a great influence on it diplomatic strategy and behavior. Furthermore, Lee's personal philosophy for state affairs management had stigmatized it diplomacy, owing to the state's political system and his personal prestige. In terms of the exterior factors, the international environment, especially geography-based politics, had exerted its undeniable effect on the policy setting-up and performance.
