Analysis And Reviews On The IMTL Portal Of Singapore

The purpose of this study was to explore preliminary analysis and research aboutiMTL(i-Mother Tongue Langue) Portal of Singapore.First of all, from the topic, the present research status, the scope and method of thisresearch, it defines the object and content of the research in this paper.Secondly, based on the present social environment of Chinese language teaching andapplication of information communication technology(ICT) in Singapore, this paper fromthree aspects reveals the trend and direction of MTLs and its emphasis on combination of"Active learners and Proficient users"and ICT.Thirdly, through the relevant theoretical analysis: the theory of input-output, linguisticenvironment, cognitive communication, constructivism, it analyses the theoretical basis forthe iMTL Portal. And based on the study of the platform itself, from the function, thetechnology, the use,it analyses to how to realize interaction, the foundational characteristic ofiMTL Portal.Fourthly, through the analysis of resourse on the iMTL Portal and the interactiveteaching mode based on the iMTL Portal,reveals to how to realize “Active learners andProficent users”.Finally, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of iMTL Portal and gives someadvices on interface,adding the "Help" function key,summarizes the study and the next step.
