Transcending Enlightenment

On the study of Marxist philosophy, particularly the sources of Marxist philosophy, German classical philosophy has been a high priority, Enlightenment thought especially French Enlightenment thought has not been given the attention it deserves. From the point of Marxism's development, Enlightenment thought, especially French Enlightenment thought occupies a very important position in the development of Marxist philosophy, particularly early Marxist philosophy.
