On The Poetic Tradition Of The Modern Novel

A kind of Romantism Tradition has been set up in the development of modern novels. Here, the definition of Romantism based on Art and Life, which contains the meaning of the active self-do attitude, the life-experienced beauty, the balancing mind and terminally careful characteristic. While Romantism Tradition refers to the romantic features of the literal theories, writers' attitudes and the world of texts and the phenomena of that the modern novel holds on so long and so classic. The concept of romantism tradition in this thesis is a thinking of cultural integratation which tries to discuss the literal phenomena wholly and synthetically and regards it as the natural value of the modern novels and modern literature. The aim of the discuss is to makeup and modify the shortcomings or mistakes of the present modern novel study and to provide a theoretical path to study modern novels.Therefore, there are four main parts to discuss the composition of the romantism tradition and its influence to the modern novels: the formation of the romantism tradition, the existing formation of the romantism, foundamental of the texts and its value in the development of literature. In chapter one, it gives a retrospect to the generation progress of the romantism tradition diachronically in the background of historical context and switching drive which were provided by Man's Awakening of the modern novels. In chapter two, it concludes and analysizes the formation of the romantism tradition of the modern novels, that is to say, answers the question of "where does it play the roles of showing the reality and nature of the modern novels and forming a relative steady style to the development of the modern novels?". In the third chapter, it discusses the features of the romantism tradition texts, which aims to explore their description contexts, limited views, romantism languages and text composition in order to find the special rules in their text-forming. And the last chapter, it indicates the great influence of the romantism tradition to the modern literature development in a big background of the whole literature history and on the aspects of subjectness ,thoughts,theme and styles of modern novels.
