The New Period Literature Field Study

The New Period Literature which lasted from 1976 to 1987 was one important stage in Chinese Contemporary Literature. It was not only a transfer station between"17 years"literature, literature of"Culture Revolution"that had been based on Revolutionary Literature after the foundation of new china and"individualized"Writing and prosperous porpular literature day by day in 1990s, but also the continuation of"The May Fourth Movement"tradition of new literature which connected Chinese Contemporary Literature and Modern Literature that had been destroyed on purpose by some people. Just due to these numerous writing achievements, it raised the discussion about the"Chinese literature of the twentieth century". Of course, the conflict between Chinese culture and western culture still contributed to the formation of literature of this stage. However, viewed from the perspective of literary criticism of that time and literary research on that period since 1990s, the knowledge of people about literature was still restricted to the mental model that"literature and politics were not compatible with each other"and it focused more on the description of the process of seeking for ownership, getting rid of political burden and taking measures as well as the influence of its"breakup". The lack of attention on the meaning of"People"in New Period Literature broke up the whole appearance of it.The reason for choosing Knowledge Sociology as the perspective is on the consideration of the combination of Bourdieu's"Field"theory and Foucault's Knowledge Archaeology. The paper sheds light on the diachronic and synchronic dimension, imagining again and trying to construct a more complete, clear-cut The New Period Literature world comparable to the literature research in the past.This paper is divided into two parts. The first part mainly concerns the derivation of the New Period Literature Field and the Three-dimension Literature system, concluding three chapters.
