A Study On Po-Pu

The focus of this thesis is on the research of the life experience and works of Po-Pu, a poet of Yuan dynasty. By the way of stylistics-research , and also the way of textual-research on the life and works, this article thoroughly investigate on the problems about the life and his works. The thesis is divided into five chapters and an appendix.The first Chapter is on problem about Po-Pu's life, as extraction, the experiences of his life and his companies. Through the differentiate and analyze on the materials , the aim is to card the basic circs and correct some error view points.From the Chapter 2 to Chapter 4, the thesis research on the three genre of the Po-Pu's literature works, as san-ch'u, drama and tz'u. Through the research of the image, the glossary, the syntax, rhetoric and the context etc, the thesis is to open out the stylistically characters and its meanings.The last Chapter compare with the two main genre: the ch'u and tz'u. By this way, the thesis would totally grasp the achievement of his literature works, and make sure of the his status in the history of Chinese literature.
