Chinese Characters Simplified Characters In China, South Korea, And Japan Comparative Study

A research of the simplified Chinese characterThis thesis mainly studies the simplified Chinese character in China, in korea and in JapanIn the first and second chapters the reason why the features, form and meanings of current Chinese characters in Korea , in China and in Japan have become different are clarified and the necessity and the importance to launch a comparative study. Chinese character is one of the most oldest writing which is still current in the world. There are near 13 hundred million people who use Chinese characters. Besides in china, Chinese character is also used in Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia and some districts in Asia and in America. Because of the different language, different history, different culture and different language policy of those countries and districts where Chinese characters are used, the scope and the forms of Chinese characters in these countries and districts are different. The thesis introduces the different development, the different application and the different policy of Chinese characters in Korea, in China, and in Japan, give the reason why Chinese characters are different in these two countries. Now the highly global information epoch and the automation epoch of Chinese characters processing is coming. The difference becomes a great barrier to information exchange and cultural exchange, and so on. If there is a commonly use form and meaning of a Chinese character in the countries and districts where Chinese characters are used., it would be very useful to communication, economy and trades, industry and information, etc.In the third and fourth chapters 2 studied the form and the meaning of simplified Chinese characters in Japan, in Korea, and in China. When people exchange information the biggest barrier is these are different between the simplified Chinese character in these three countries. So this thesis studies and analyze the differences between Chinese characters in Korea, in Japan and in China.The object of study in this thesis are characters from 《total simplified Chinese character table》 , of China, the 1800 Chinese characters from 《elementary Chinese characters of education》 of Korea, 1945 Chinese characters from 《common Chinese characters》 of Japan.In the last of this thesis general conclusion is made.
