Cultural industry is one of sunrise and pillar industries in 21st century. The development of Chinese cultural industry is greatly beneficial for perfecting socialist market economy, prospering advanced socialist culture, promoting socialist political harmony, developing the socialist harmonious society and constructing harmonious world. Researching the function problem of cultural industry, in new century and present stage, contains important theoretic meaning and realistic meaning. The main content of my dissertation is the following:Chapter I mainly introduces the meaning and rising background of cultural industry. I elaborate that cultural industry can arouse an economic high speed growth and I discuss the development of cultural industry cater for the request of socialist market economy development.In Chapter III, I expound that the development of cultural industry is to be advantageous to prospering socialist advanced cultural from the three following aspects: cultural industry, cultural undertakings and the ideological and ethical standards.
