Introduction: Though scholars have had a rather deep study on the belief on immortals of Taoism and the poetry about immortals, and have got so many gratifying achievements, up to now, still no man have had an overall study on the special subject on the relation between the thought on immortal and the literature creation in the Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty. The Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty was the source of Chinese literature, the literature works of this times had founded the major types and the basic patterns of expression of the literature of fairyland excursion. In view of this, in this article, on the base of the individual study of the predecessors, we plan to have a comprehensive and systematic, detailed and deep special-study on the historical course of the occurrence and development of the thought on immortal in the Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty and its influence on the literature creation, comb and sort out the concrete process of the occurrence, change and development of the literature of fairyland excursion in this times, induce and summarize the general features of the literature of fairyland excursion in this times and its far-reaching influence on the creation of the literature of fairyland excursion in later ages.Chapter one: The occurrence and development of the thought on immortal in the Pre-Qin Dynasty. The thought on immortal was the product of ancient people's imagination transcending the limitation of time-space and having an immortal and free life after their consciousness roused and was the reflection over the secular spirit of Chinese traditional culture. The emergence of the legend on immortal during the later stage of the Chun Qiu Times indicated the occurrence of the thought on immortal. The illusion about immortality and free sky-wandering already presented in the early Chinese mythology, and the occurrence of the Peng Lai celestial tale indicated the eventual formation of the thought on immortal. There was a course developing from the early legend on Peng Lai Da Ren to Peng Lai celestial tale.
