Theoretical And Practical Research On The Artistic Design For The Systems Goal

This dissertation, from the existing questions occurred in the design cases, bysystematic analysis and logical deduction, has found that confusing the concept of thedesign results in the deviation of the design target, a phenomena existing in the circleof design domain. Focusing on it, first of all we have made it clear the triple conceptof art and design and artistic design. Then with the theory of systems departing formthe generalized concept of design, we set the general goal from the connotation ofdesign, i.e. the general goal of design is to solve the problem of human's materialneeds. On this basis of the general goal, we divide it into several steps to perform..This dissertation is centered on how to set a general goal, how to break it intofractional goals, as well as how to evaluate it and count the power of it. The methodfocusing on the artistic design for systems goal is what we have done in the research.In this dissertation, much research has been done on the existing design thinking,methods and processes of design, which is of great significance before setting thedesign systems goal. The philosophy-thinking in this research has led to the researchfor attributes of design, i.e., material, artistic, economic, social attributes. Thephilosophy-thinking is mainly related to the problem of social attribute.In the process of analyzing the design for systems goal, much attention has beenpaid to the main approaches used to solve problems at home and abroad, some ofwhich are the most common scientific methods with high frequency, such as theformat of system analysis which is very popular in the 20's century; the format ofanalysis in the U.S army and US federation which is very unique in the world; theformat in journalism for stating "5 W" questions. The research on these methods cannot only enrich and perfect the structure of our artistic design method for systemsgoal, but also can find out the new explanation and new wedging point to the goal.The method of the artistic design for systems goal involves a lot of areas, such asthe value theory in setting the goals, the signs, the rules and the gist for judgmentwhich is related to the evaluating and technical decision making. The hierarchy itself is also abundant. Among these areas, the research of power counting is neglected indesign domain in our country. So the research to the problem can make the evaluationmore impartial, precise and consistent with the main goal.This dissertation, in addition to the theory, method and process for setting thegoal, as well as the skills for decision-making and operation, has also paid muchattention to the application of the design methods used for the project. At all events,design is a subject with much emphasis on application, so the application skill hasundoubtedly become another core in this dissertation. From the shifting of inventingto transforming the language to the graphics, from the artistic design expressions tocreative thinking, from design economic evaluation to the concept of sustainability ofdesign, from the beginning of the programming to interactive design etc. No matter itis a concept, method and technique, all of them embody the practical value andapplication significance in this dissertation. The theory of pyramid about aestheticscan not only guide the designers on how to face the realism and conform theaesthetics trend, but also can become a bridge to connect people with differentaesthetics ideas.This dissertation, having the independent carving for university students as itstheme, by studying the subject through a task which involves—'youth designunion'(YDU),attempts to display the details of the artistic design for systems goal.With several typical cases in environmental and artistic design, it expounds theapplication process of systems design in reality.
