The Literature Scene In Crises Time

The early 1980's Pure Literature movement represented by Modernist theory and novel are the main subjects in this thesis, which have been observed on contesting, publishing, accepting and educating to explore the foundation of the Pure Literature movement. When it comes to research mode, the thesis has tried to get the typical cases into the multiple historical pressures of the Pure Literature, which we take as a revolution of paradigm.The thesis has been tried to break the divisive status between the interior and the exterior research mode presently, whereas, it has been tried to assimilate the literature, theory and historical context. As a result, there are four main points in the research on the foundation and development of the pure literature paradigm. Firstly, we focus on Mao Duns The essay in night reading, in which the old socialist realist literature method proves directly the legitimacy of the foundation of the Pure Literature movement when it takes the formalist and aestheticism as the power. Secondly, we focused on the big-affecting unofficial magazine, the first pure literature magazine, Today (1978-1980). With the observing on its edition and novels, we can find that a new literature paradigm the Pure Literature movement is politically powerful. Then in the third chapter, we turn bake to the main literature circle, focusing on the translation and spreading of the western literature in the early 1980s. Gao Xingjian's the initial research on the modern novel technique and Xu Chi's theory of Modernist and Modernization will powerfully present the multiple historical pressures of the Pure Literature movement. Fourthly, Wang Meng's stream of consciousness novels are our interest. And then, finally, an important literature power, the literature youth, will prove the very powerful education of the dominated literature notion.
