The paper will study the painter Zhao Xilong (1789-1866), the painter of later period of Korea and their lives as well. Meanwhile, the paper will carry on a research on their epoch background, cultural background and their position and achievement in the painting history.Zhao Xilong (1789-1866) is a character with free thought, master hand in painting, and distinctive calligraphy. In his life, he wrote four masterpieces.Zhao Xilong wrote "Hu Shan wai ji" "Haiwai lanmu" and"Shiyouwangnia-nlu". In his later years, his individual painting style came into being. The author will provide a depiction of painter art world and investigate the influence of painters of Chaoxian Dynasty, and Korean neoculture and the painters of the contemporary era.Zhao Xilong composed many works of different themes, but the author will focus on ink bamboo. He all accepted new painting style and created their own characteristic style on the basis of that. The author will conduct a research earnestly on the painter on the scroll of fame.
