Musical's Song Study

The mother-boad of musical's music is the musical's songs. It is the main content for musical music studys. This dissertation depends on the song's analysis of the three Chinese musicals and the comparisons between some western musicals and these musicals. It further expounds their characteristics, reexamines their art achievements and comes to some conclusions of musical's song writing patterns.On the music theme design with it's repetition It can be devided into the three patterns of a short sentence, a passage and single song. On the dramatic song writing It can be devided into the two patterns of the united songs and single song. On the comedy song writing it can be devided into the three patterns of speaking song, sing song, and speaking-singing song. These patterns are adapted for all musical's song writing in home and abroad.There are some defferences between the Chinese songs and the Broad-way song on the music form of dramatic song writing. Broad-way dramatic songs often show a form of AABA structure or it's variety, and Chinese dramatic songs often develop in a form of Rubato-Lento-Allegro speed-beat model. In a comparison with the exellent songs of the exellent western musicals there is a distance on Chinese dramatic song writing, comedy song writing, music theme desgin and repetition.
