The latter is the figurative meaning referring to those words in terms of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing. As a fundamental discourse of Chinese culture, the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing has an extensive and profound influence on Chinese thought and culture in many fields through endless scholar explaining, exerting and deepening. The influence of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing on Chinese literary theory is of great importance in terms of scope, depth and permanence and therefore deserves to be studied comprehensively and intensively. From a combined perspective of the historical and logic analysis, this dissertation, with the relationship between the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing and Chinese literary theory as its argument and with the influence of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing on Chinese literary theory and the acceptance of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing in Chinese literary theory as its scope, based on a thorough comprehension of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing, figures out and analyzes the elements in the Chinese literary theory which bear the influence from the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing through various materials in various classical books. Chapter 1 sorts out the very essence of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing as culture discourse in respect to its genesis and logic. The Spring & Autumn Annals was a history book of Lu in pre-Qin Dynasty, and then a classic after Confucius wrote or mended. There was two reasons resulted in formation of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing as a culture discourse. One was that Confucius implied WeiYanDaYi and positive & negative style writing when he wrote or mended the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing; the other was the endless interpretation and hermeneutics of later scholars of the study of Confucian classics and history. They, with the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing as the center, had launched different humanism interpretations, which contained considerable thought experience and history secrete. Such interpretation in fact was a spiritual pursuit by ancient scholars of criticism right on the base of affirming tradition. Three systems & five cases that Du yu summarized in classical Zuo Zhuan and WeiYanDaYi that Dong zhongshu developed became a mode of discourse and a meaning-constructing mode. And Si maqian, Ouyang xiu, Liu zhiji and Zhang xuecheng also exercised and developed the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing, which exerted positive and negative influences. On the one hand the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing made consciousness of history be needed in Chinese traditional history and scholars attached importance to its reference, thus giving full play to the society education function of traditional history. On the other hand, the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing made Chinese traditional history lose its unique character and made history fall into appendage of government and emperor's tool because style writing, case and government effect were overemphasized.Chapter 2 investigates the relation between Chinese ancient poetics and history in view of the mode of discourse and the meaning-constructing mode of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing and WeiYanDaYi on the base of Mencius'ssaying-the Poems withered away, the Spring & Autumn Annals came into being, thus poeticalized history and historicalized poem. As culture discourse, the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing and WeiYanDaYi were products of narration or scholarromance or government policy. Mencius's saying-the Poems withered away, theSpring & Autumn Annals came into being, blending history function of the Poems and the Spring & Autumn Annals and discourse function that narration gave and made poem and history outside and inside. What Liu zhiji and Zhang xuecheng said made history poeticalize and mingled style writing of poem and history together. Coupling words & fact comparison was function of the Spring & Autumn Annals and the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing, which was carried forward by Zuo Zhuan and Shi Ji and became writing norm, suitable for history and literature production. Evil punishing and goodness persuading was one of the five cases of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing, which was also the guidance in History, poem, drama and novel production.Chapter 3 concentrates upon the hermeneutics meaning of the idea not to make the Spring & Autumn Annals clear in the comparison and dialogue between the Chinese the Western literary theory through close reading. Firstly, based on ChunQiFanLU, this chapter analyzes the fundamental connotation of the idea not to make the Spring & Autumn Annals clear as the most outstanding meaning-constructing mode and discourse reading mode. Secondly, this chapter discusses history context, theoretical meaning and hermeneutic practice of the idea not to make the Poems Clear, the idea not to make Zhouyi clear, the idea not to make the Spring & Autumn Annals clear in order to open out the cause of the idea not to make the Poems Clear. Thirdly, this chapter compares the idea not to make the Spring & Autumn Annals clear with the idea not to make the Poems clear from three aspects: thought origin, hermeneutic rule and hermeneutic manner. Finally, the difference in approach but equally satisfactory in result between the idea not to make poem clear is discussed, which came from the idea not to make the Poems clear and was the unique theory and way of literary explanation in ancient Chinese art and literary activity, and the Western Hermeneutics in respect to its genesis and the comparison between the Chinese the Western literary theory. The contact between the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing and Chinese literary theory discourse is discussed in Chapter 4. As a fundamental rule of Chinese culture and art, the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing prescribed the mode of discourse, the meaning-constructing mode and the discourse reading mode, which had great impact on Chinese literary theory. As the mode of discourse of and the discourse reading mode of Chinese literary theory, Fu and Bi- Xing were similar to the five cases of the Spring & Autumn Annals. As the important characteristics of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing, advocating simplicity and implicitness had been succeeded by Chinese literature scholars and theorists. As a result, the "simple to the point" and "implicitness in words" in the mode of discourse of "Tao-Saint-word" had become authority in Chinese literature. Special mode of discourse is always connected with special meaning-constructing mode and special discourse reading mode. So the first and third of the fives cases of the Spring & Autumn Annals were two apparent discourses of Chinese literary criticism, and their way of thinking was not only the embodiment of Chinese ancient people poetry logic but also the inevitable result of Chinese feudalism absolutism and power politics. And criticizing notes, seeking for the author's intention and Yifa, as Chinese literary theory discourse reading mode, were in deep relationship with the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing and WeiYanDaYi.The ending part draws a brief conclusion on the universality of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing in contemporary Chinese literary and art and journalism. The Spring & Autumn Annals style writing doesn't disappear as the study of Confucian classics died in modern time. It is still full of life and energy, which can be entirely conversed and carried forward. There are several originalities in this dissertation:The first, the choice of the topic is of great significance in academy. It is the first time to discuss the relation of the Spring & Autumn Annals style writing and Chinese literary theory so comprehensively and intensively from a combined perspective of the historical and logic analysis.
