A Research On The Antonyms In Translated Sutra In The Middle Ancient Times

Choosing the antonyms in the translated Sutra in the Middle Ancient Times as the investigating object, the author' s main target aim at describing the general pictures of the antonyms and the process of its development, summing up its basic characteristics and explained some semantic and lexical phenomenon , thus to perfect the theory of ancient Chinese antonyms researching.The article is divided into six chapters altogether. The author begins by reviewing the research on ancient Chinese antonyms, and go on to explaining the theoretical basis and the methods of the research. In chapter one the judging standards and the forms of the antonyms had been discussed. Chapter two investigated the classifications of the antonyms and the relationship between some antonyms. Chapter three analyzed the three basic types of lexical opposite and the morphological forms of the antonyms. Chapter four explored the evolutions of the antonyms and summed up the laws interrelated. Chapter five proved the meaning in all-round way that the study to Chinese historical lexicology. In the last part of the article the author explored a number of difficult problems, which encountered during the research and putted forward some new point of view.
