A Research On The Marked Selective Compound Sentences From Multi-dimensional Viewpoints

The research work of this paper goes around marked selective compound sentences under the guiding ideology of the Theory of Clausal Pivot.It discusses marked selective compound sentences in Chinese mandarin,Chinese dialects,minority languages and Chinese information procession.Then,it examines and analyzes "huozhe shuo" marked selective compound sentences.The Theory of Clausal Pivot is the soul of the paper.Two triangles and the Theory of Clausal Government are the main researching methods of the paper.Simultaneously,it uses some researching methods of cognitive linguistics,functional linguistics and typology.There are seven parts in this paper.In chapter one,the topic,significance,research thoughts,methods and theories are interpreted specifically.In chapter two,it researches marked selective compound sentences in Chinese mandarin under the guiding ideology of the Theory of Small Triangle.It examines their sentence patterns' forms, semantic relationships and pragmatic value.The relation markers,former-echo clauses and back-response clauses of sentence patterns' forms are discussed firstly.On the semantic relationships, the semantic common features,personalities of former-echo clauses and back-response clauses and their multi-semantic relationships are discussed.The general and narrow pragmatic values of them are analyzed dialectically.The values of marked selective compound sentences are researched from syntactic semantic forms,relationships between communicating parties,pragmatic situations and linguistic requirement aspect etc.In chapter three,it researches marked selective compound sentences in Chinese dialects.Firstly, their usage situations are examined specifically.Then,it compares them with marked selective compound sentences in Chinese mandarin.After the comparison,we find that both the common places and differences exist in marked selective compound sentences in mandarin dialects, non-mandarin dialects and standard Chinese.In chapter four,it researches marked selective compound sentences in minority languages.The usage situations in relative languages and non-relative languages are examined specifically.Then,it compares them with marked selective compound sentences in Chinese mandarin.The conclusion is both the common places and differences exist in marked selective compound sentences in relative languages,non-relative languages in minority languages and standard Chinese.In chapter five,marked selective compound sentences in Chinese information procession is researched.It includes two parts.Firstly,we select the "shi...haishi..." marked selective compound sentences as examples to research the automatic identification of joint selective relation markers,and come up with four rules.They are the binding rule of word order,mutuality,t syntax room and familiarity.Secondly,we study the automatic identification of two-clause,three-clause and four-clause style marked selective compound sentences on the basis of the Clausal Relevance Theory.In chapter six,the paper examines and analyses the exterior form,interior meaning and pragmatic mechanism of "huozhe shuo(或者说)" marked selective compound sentences.It observes "huozhe shuo(或者说)" marker and the sentence pattern's former-echo clauses and back-response clauses.Then it summarizes six main semantic pattern of it,and furthermore,examines its philosophical basis,cognitive basis and embodied pragmatic strategy.In chapter seven,a conclusion of the whole paper is made.Firstly,the research value of the paper is summarized from theory and application aspects.Then,it draws several basic conclusions of the paper.Furthermore,some thoughts on the topic has been put forward.They include speculation on Big Science and Small Science,Exploration of Facts and Foundation of Theories,Domestic and Foreign Theories,Chinese Characteristics and International Vision,Two-View and Major View. Eventually,the prospect of the subsequent research is put forward.
