Depression is one of the main problem of psychologic maladjustment arisesd frequently. Everybody experiences this kind of emotion in our lives. Research on cognition of depression becomes an important subject. Among these studies, two main methods was involved: one is Stroop paradigm of emotion which is used most, the other one is masking technique. The most effective views of explaining the cognitive theory of depression must be Beck'cognitive model of depression. It is supposed that depression is caused by mistakened and distorted cognition. First, cognitive susceptibility is performed as dysfunctional conception. Then, the dysfunctional conception would arouse the self negative schema which suggests a distorted information processing mode. It is a susceptibility factor that would result in depression symptoms such as physical disorders, hypomotility, being down in spirits. Conversely, the symptoms induce the growth of negative conception, which forms a vicious spiral. The cognition of depression was approved by many researches. Analysis of these researches found that two ways were followed: one is study on effetive factors of depression cognition, the other one is the strategy of adjustment for depression cognition. The former concerns external and internal effective facters, whill the latter refers to exploring the strategy of intervention. Though many intensive researches have been done, appearently, the emotion cognitive mechanism of depressed individuals is blank. No agrement is reached on the strategy of adjustment for depression cognition, further agument is needed. In order to make a further study on emotion cognitive mechanism and intervention strategy of depression, 4 phases and 7 experiments are proceeded. The frame of this study is as follows:Part1: Summarise of literatures. History and Present Situation of the research on depression cognition were reviewed, the primary and typicle theary were presented. Based on this, the researcher point out the issues exsisted in former studies and make his own research assumption theary hypothesis. Part2: 4 reseraches and 7 experiments are involved. First, discuss the characterastic of cognition of depression, the result indicate that the depressed individuals are inclined to process negative mood stimulative, and the individuals' cognitive mode influvences the process of stimulative, especially the executive and inhibitive fuction are both worked. Seconed, the emotion cognitive mechanism of depressed individuals should be an automatic or unconscious process. Further, study on brain mechanism of individual emotion cognition indicate that the component of ERP of depressed and normal group is significant different when recognizing words of emotion, especially the amplitude of P490 is lower. It's emphasized that the negtive words make significant difference of N250 in the prefrontal area, manifested by broad negative wave compared to normal group. At last, discussing the intervention of emotion cognition of depression according to emotion priming and directed forgetting paradigm. It is conclude that the emotion modulate the depressed individuals' emotional cognition obviously. Meanwhile, directed forgetting has an significant effect on changing the cognitive deflection of negative automatice thought and helping form reasonable recognition of positive stimulative.Part3: Discussion. In this study, the characteristic, cognitive mechanism, brain mechanism and intervention strategy of the cognition of depression is futher discussed and investigated. At the basis of the research, some new opinions about the cognition of depression is presented.Part4: Prospect of the Research. The author makes some benificial suggestions on future research on the cognition of depression, from sevral aspects of the objectives, methods, cross-culture compairison and intervention.
