In the sense of religion, fetishism can be traced back to totemism. There is a kind of totemic feeling about commodities in a commodity society because the relationship between people has been materialized into that of commodities. As a result, commodity fetishism emerges. Money fetishism and capital fetishism are based on commodity fetishism.This paper first focuses on the basic theories of totemism of money fetishism on the bases of theories of money fetishism, totemism and religion, and then analyses Chinese totemism of money fetishism both in ancient times and contemporary era. In the end, some strategies for managing Chinese contemporary totemism of money fetishism are put forward. The whole paper can be divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 introduces a basic theory framework, including theories of labor value and western totemism, etc. Fetishism and totemism are discussed in Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, money fetishism and money totemism are inquired into. The situation of money fetishism and its thoughts in ancient China are talked about in Chapter 4 and 5 respectively. Chapter 6 studies Chinese contemporary money fetishism and puts forward some strategies for managing it.
