A Study On Totemism Of Uyghur

With the development of evolution of human-being and society, Uyghur totemism has already lost the original strong religious color of primitive religious.In order to correctly understand the phenomenon of Uyghur totemism and enrich Uyghur traditional culture, from the viewpoint of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, the paper analyzed and testified the totem phenomenon of Uyghur systematically, which used the analytical methods on the basis of historical data and file about ethnology, archeology and culture.It is divided into three stages of innovation by studying the Uyghur totemism system, the conclusions can be drawn:The formation of Uyghur totemism is consisted of two conditions: the basic thought of Uyghur totemism is the belief of'Everything has its soul'and the belief of retrieve the root of ancestor; the formation of Uyghur totemism can not independent from social factors, which include the living environment, the immerge of marriage with outer tribe,the effect of economy and nature worship of tribe society.The paper showed the evolution and traits of Uyghur totemism for people. In this part, according to the research object and the traits of acquisition of human-being, the history of evolution can be categorized into three stages: in the early stage, the plant or animal was considered as totem. In the middle stage, the humanized plant or animal was considered as totem. In the late stage, the completely humanized figure was the totem. Through the study of Uyghur totemism evolution development, it considers that there are sameness between the development and evolution of Uyghur totemism and that of other ethnic groups: a wide range of variety, and it has close relationship between the generation and choice of the totem and living environment; totem worship forms taboo; the development process of evolution of totem worship is very inclusive and adaptable. Also has its own characteristics: First, totem of Uyghur has been turned into mascot for the blood relationship attenuation between totem and human-being. Second, the totem of Uyghur has multi-dimensional overlapping.Totemism in Uyghur will be not lost, but changes influenced by a variety of factors, and melts into Uyghur social life. Totemism evolution has become a mascot retained in the Uyghur community life, and it studied the remnants of the wolves, hawks and tree. As a result of these phenomena existence, Uyghur totemism has positive effect in Uyghur social life. According to the evolution of Uyghur totemism, the cultural value of Uyghur totemism was covered in this paper. The philosophy embodies certain ingredients of materialism ethical thinking in the relationship between man and nature, the origin of human thinking. Ethical thought has taboo bound on the role of human behavior, as well as objects of worship of supernatural forces and the totem spirit and moral of society. The thought of aesthetic appreciation is reflected in the worship of nature of Uyghur, which embody the construction and decoration strip of clothing in Uyghur life.
