The Relationship Between Human And Times In Daihouying's Literary Works

In the history of the contemporary literature of China in a century, the themes of "Cultural Revolution" literature works are the ones that people are interested the most and worth to study. Although the "Cultural Revolution" was very short time in contemporary history of China, there are a lot of stories that cannot be explained by a word between very complex human and times during the short time history. Therefore, we can easily discover the peculiar characteristics of the times in literature works that the themes are about the "Cultural Revolution", that we cannot see in any other literature works; first, peculiar mentality and mind that are related to the times, second, various characters, third, the truth of the times that cannot see in history, etc.. In fact, the reasons of the existence of the literature are, through the description of past events of human's history, caution people against creation of wrong history, and give the people the possibility to create sincere history.Among contemporary literature works in China, the themes about "Cultural Revolution" works are plentiful. However, one of the literature works, Daihouying's literature works describe the best about the human relationships. Daihouying was one of Choban people whose power was great during the early stage of the "Cultural Revolution". During that time, Daihouying acted as a political instrument to pressure the existing writers. She realized that she was used politically when the Cultural Revolution was ended and her boyfriend died. After these incidents, she turned into a writer as humanism and devoted herself to try to find purity of people through her literary works. After November 1980, her name was recognized not only by the China but also by all over the world after she published "Human, Human". Most of her literary works describe vividly about Chinese's real lives. Although she was suffered a lot from critics and political pressure because most of her literary works show too much of her intention, her literary works are composed of full of her love of human and concern, passion and struggle to try to save human and times, and spirit of sacrificing herself for the benefit of human. Particularly, her concern and love of people is more profound than other writers during 5.4 period. Moreover, her expression of regret at her past behavior and penitence through literary works is worth to be praised by people. Therefore, the birth of her literature is not for the attainment of art, or not for the world to know about her country's wrong doing, or not for proclaim the humanism. But her literary works try to show, by confessing about her real life through her literary works, that: the birth of history is the result of individual's life and thus each one of us should be sincere and honest in one's life. Also one should be responsible for one's life in order to leave the right history to next generation. Thus, one should concern about others and deal with them sincerely then history will be made in a right way. These are the messages what Daihouying tried to convey through her literary works. The objective of this study is also to prove these aspects of Daihouying's literary works.
